Slide Into Success using Canva Presentation
Why Canva (Presentation)?
I have been designing a three part professional development workshop and when I was about to record my presentations I realized I needed to find a platform to pull everything together that was beyond a basic google slide or powerpoint. However with 4 kids off from school this week I new what ever tool I used couldn’t take too much time or you would hear them being loud and rambunctious in the back ground. A friend of mine and fellow library employee suggested Canva! I use Canva constantly between my public and school library jobs but hadn’t ever used it to create a presentation. I pulled up a few tutorials to learn how & WOW it is such an amazing option and best of all it simplifies everything you have ever tried to include in a slide show and is 100x more visually appealing and professional in 1/2 the time. It is an excellent tool for anyone looking to quickly design slides without the need for extensive graphic design skills.

Pros: As long as you watch a few tutorials to know the different features exist it is so easy to use no matter your skill level. Like anything else in Canva there are tons of template to get your presentation started.
You don’t have to do all the work as it allows multiple users to work on a presentation. You can export to powerpoint or other platforms which can help in sharing the slides on any platform!
Cons: At both of my jobs public and school libraries I have access to the upgraded premium version of Canva/ Canva pro however if this is not the case for you their are a ton of limitations when using Canva Presentations free version. And like anything in Canva you might experience slowdowns or your work might glitch, especially when creating large presentation.
Using Canva Presentation can extend by holding the attention of your audience. It can be engaging and customized by including images, videos, and GIFs, along with personalized auto in just seconds. Canva Presentation will enhance by supplying templates and access to Canva’s library of design which makes each slides look professional.
