Resource Review:
I am currently working on developing a Professional Development class, this PD class for educators will be focusing on interactive reading strategies using collaboration to achieve a common goal of enhanced literacy. I am designing it as a 3 week course, with additional support beyond that if necessary. For this task I did not want to reinvent the wheel and I was curious to see what else was out there. Luckily I was able to find a community based platform to explore with edWed.net .
Why edWeb.net ?
EdWeb.net is a learning platform of PD videos designed for teachers, librarians, and administrators. It is highlighted as being one of the top website by AASL which caused it to peak my interest.

Pros: EdWeb is straightforward, making it simple for educators to find what they need, regardless of their tech skills. Educators can connect and interact with colleagues worldwide, sharing ideas and resources to improve their teaching.
Cons: The amount of content available can be over whelming and difficult to sort through. With tons of different communities and resources, teachers might find it hard to figure out which ones are best for them.
Using edWeb.net can extend professional development opportunities by connecting educators with a wide network of peers and resources. This connection can help educators engage and customize lessons by increasing the amount of diverse tactics used in class. WedWeb will enhance retention of the topic by giving constant access to educators to PD that offers effect ways to teach in their specific classrooms and subject areas.
