I was looking for a platform to make a video to show others the different challenges I had students working on in the library the day of the solar eclipse. I had heard Kapwing was an easy tool to use that helps teachers and students make all kinds of video and social media content. I was not sure how it would turn out because I know Kapwig is known for making funny memes , or animating, but I wanted to try it because I needed a new trick up my sleeve other then iMovie trailers.
Why Kapwing: Kapwing is a tool that is easy to navigate to make videos, memes, and animations. Besides being easy to use it has a lot of features to help present your content in a way that feels current, and students will enjoy.
Pros: Editing is easy to use and offers a ton of options less in free then pro .
The content feels current which will help students understand and keep their interest because of the visuals.
Cons: The file size must remain small for it to work; you will need to upgrade to a pro version to use some of the better tools.

Overall, Kapwing was a fun tool for making videos and memes, the platform could be easily used by students in 6th grade and above. It is ease of use is best for educator use in any subject area. Whether you’re new to it or already know a lot you should check it out.
