Wizer: Where Worksheets Get a Digital Facelift

Resource Review:

Multiple ways to learn with Wizer  (A tool for educators to easily create fun blended worksheets)

Why Wizer?

Today I worked with my 5th & 6th graders on there research project. I printed out instructions I had typed up for each station with an objective and 3 questions to better assess their use of the different research tools. I realized quickly that certain stations needed additional instruction. Shortly after I started liking for a resource that could help. With Wizer, teachers can make digital worksheets with different types of questions, images, and videos.  They can also record instructions right in the worksheet… If I use wiser I can essentially be in two places at once, guiding my students through the worksheet virtually while working with other students.  My first thought seeing Wizer is that the interface resembled Canva. This worksheet app is easy to use, and is a collaborative device that brings worksheets into the digital age and is a good way to bring a quick customized hand out to life.

Pros: The simple and eye catching interface makes it easy to assign tasks, submit work, and provide feedback to students. Plus, and the resource bank created by users helps lighten the workload.

Cons: The app can be glitchy when using the free version, had a good amount of general education worksheets in its library but not as many pre existing school media specialist appear to have created content for it.

Using Wizer can extend by getting students to enjoy worksheets, this platform’s easy-to-use design lets students engaging and customized interactions with all sorts of interesting content. Wiser will enhance retention of the topic as students will enjoy this modern approach to worksheets, while teachers will appreciate the variety of options available for creating and assessing them..Not to mention the ability to make educators days easier by adapting existing templates to there exact needs.
